Week 4: Input Output

The technological world is expanding constantly and consumers are looking for quick and easy technological fixes. In order to run a success business, one must keep on top of the lastest innovations to keep consumers satisfied.

The "Eat This" app is heavily based on information updated by users. Therefore, different means of input and input devices are required for the app. Input is simply, any data and instructions entered into the memory of a computer. The app is mainly accessed on smartphone which have built in keyboards or touch screens, two forms of input. Without input, the application would fail miserably because users are required to input information to generate responses from the application. The application then outputs data that has been processed into useful forms for the users.

Another great and useful tool the "Eat This" application will utilize are QR codes. QR codes are popping up all over and they are a great way for users to scan restaurant menus into the application and get feedback on healthy eating. With just a scan users have access to entire restaurant menus. The "Eat This" app will then connect to the restaurant menu selecting options for users.

  1. I think that your idea will be very successful today since so many people are worried about what they eat. Most people want to eat what they like, but worry that it is too unhealthy to have so they opt not to have it. By offering this app, they will be able feel better about the things they want to eat by getting that balance. My suggestion about the QR code is that maybe you can incorporate a feature that brings up the ingredients of the meals from restaurant menus too. So after the "Eat This" app selects an option for users, users will know what ingredients is in that meal for future reference. That way, they can have that in mind when they go grocery shopping on their own. Overall though, this app will definitely work.
